Lockpicked Chests Question - Guild Wars Forums

I've never been a chestrunner really, but I basically have nothing else to do with my money except by thousands of lockpicks anyway, so..!
In Factions/Proph, and even NF and I highly doubt EOTN, is it possible to get Q7/8 max items from lockpicked chests? Or is that for monster drops only?

q7 max items are no longer a possible drop anymore. They were removed from drop tables when NF came out.

q8 max items still drop, but only swords, shields and foci. In cantha you could get q8 max foci and shields easily from NM chests, but only from Canthan Chests (I've gotten some) but those are mainly purples and thus useless. a q8 max sword would be super rare, and I wouldn't hope for that. But this isn't economical, or useful, since NM Canthan Chests don't yield anything towards the Treasure hunter title.

My advise: Either run in the jade sea or echovald forest, because some very nice, and rather rare skins can drop there, and you could make a nice profit.

And depending on what your goals are: Get many goldies, or lucky title, or unlucky etc, run HM or NM

I'm mostly hoping for rare skins, I suppose, so Jade Sea/Echovald seems like the place for me. I'm not a title hunter by any means :P

My personal favorite is still Silent Surf, because I am so fond of outcast weapons^^

If you want the rare skins, and got money to spare, I'd say run HM, because NM yields little golds, and most of the times (in my opinion) bad inherents..

That forum seems a bit outdated. Any advice on where to farm for rare/valued skins?
